About Vassalage
This project was born out of letters — hundreds of them — written during a family’s unraveling. What began as private words became a record of manipulation, gaslighting, and resilience.
It also documented abuse.
At its core, Vassalage asks: What happens when someone wields power unchecked? When charm and authority make truth invisible? And why do so many choose to believe the deception instead of those who speak up?
For privacy and safety, all names, locations, and identifying details — including my own — have been changed. I remain anonymous not because the story isn’t true, but because telling it publicly risks retaliation. The truth remains, even if identities do not.
This isn’t just the story of one family. It’s about patterns that repeat across schools, churches, communities, and institutions. It’s about how power protects lies — and why speaking the truth is the only way to change the game.
Join me through the podcast, the upcoming book, and exclusive content on Patreon as I explore loyalty, manipulation, and the cost of challenging the one who controls the board.
